This results in Josh and I doing things a little unconventional than most. Dexter doesn't have a specific nightly routine we follow. Sometimes he goes to bed at 8 PM and sometimes it's 9 PM. As long as it's clean and not wrinkled Dexter wears it to daycare even if it doesn't totally match. We let Dexter watch cartoons and eat chocolate milk more than one night a week.
Like I said. We are just all kinds of crazy over at this house. We do things our way and what works for us. Sometimes this results in me running to the store on the way to daycare to pick up diapers. Dexter not wear matching socks and us running around like a crazy person trying to find a clean shirt for him in the morning. I'm okay with that. Sometimes you need to just let go as a parent and know that it's going to be okay.
There are other times though where this 'letting go' mantra I live by becomes an issue.
See Photo Below.
For the past month my son has been wearing shoes that are two different sizes.
I can at least put some of the blame on my Mom since she bought them. It only took me a month to realize.
Do you have a rigid schedule when with your kiddos at night or do you just let it happen?

Omg that's too funny!! Totally something I would do.
ReplyDeleteLmao. SO sounds like something I would do ;)
ReplyDeletehaha! oh my goodness! :)
ReplyDeleteOkay Brin. I'm dying over here. LOL!!!!!! Poor Dexter. I bet one foot is tired LOL :)
ReplyDeleteOh MY! My kids have basically put themselves on a routine. Dinner, play time, bath, reading/Mickey Mouse, then bed. They do better knowing what is going to come next.
